When children are asked what they would like to be when they grow up, I’ve never heard one say “I want to be a lobbyist.” When I was young, I said I wanted to be a veterinarian or a photo journalist. Like many lobbyists, I somewhat tripped into the profession and then decided to make it my career.

Representing clients at the local, state, and executive branch is a privilege and an often-humbling experience. Working with professionals across diverse industries and impacting public policy on their behalf is a rewarding career. During the course of my work, I have been heavily engaged in health care, finance, education, insurance, land management and municipal issues.

After working on a campaign, I began my career in Salem serving as the Legislative and Public Affairs Director for the State Treasurer. I also served as the advisor to the Treasurer in his position on the State Land Board with the Governor and Secretary of State, on all issues related to the management of state-owned lands. I’ve represented the interests of clients through every legislative session since 2001 and then within the executive branch as agencies adopt rules to implement law.

Shortly after entering private practice in 2009, I was named a Rising Star (top lawyer under 40) by Oregon Super Lawyers for my government relations work. I have been a member of the Oregon State Bar since 1998.

I live in Portland with my husband, three daughters, a cat and a handful of backyard chickens. When not in the office, I enjoy hiking, running, watching my girls play sports and traveling.
